A police action involving close to a dozen officers is currently underway in Camptown at a residence formerly known as The Pines just outside Camptown on Route 706 toward Stevensville

Officers first assembled at the Wyalusing Borough Park at 9:30 a.m. and then proceeded toward Camptown in a procession led by a Towanda Borough Police cruiser that involved approximately 15 unmarked vehicles, many occupied by one person.

Near Camptown, the procession exited Route 706 near the former Camptown Elementary School, where the officers donned bulletproof vests and some putting on what appeared to be gas masks.

Some of the officers’ vehicles were left at the site of the former school when they resumed their action and headed toward their destination.

At the residence they fanned out over the property, apparently searching vehicles and entering the residence in what appeared to be a drug raid.

It is currently not known who lives at the residence. More details when they become available.
